The non-formal education of today’s business lawyers
Business law is an exciting, ever-changing profession with a high level of complexity, strongly affected by globalization, and the latest technology.
Competitiveness has reached its peak, and lawyers have been forced to create strategies to differentiate themselves within the market, to align to international standards and to incorporate within their work all the extra knowledge that TECHNOLOGY brings in order to make their life easier.
Consequently, lawyers must become professionals in business development, sales, marketing, branding, efficient networking and qualitative public speaking and above all, to be excellent technical legal professionals, in order to succeed professionally.
Because law schools around the world continue to produce graduates who lack practical skills and new skills needed in the job market, such as: business knowledge, an understanding of the role and use of technology in the profession of lawyer and “people skills”, there is the need for additional non-formal education for lawyers, throughout their career.
Although the lack of time is a real problem, it is our opinion that the current issues that today’s legal market is facing, have a resolution through proper education.
There is a need on the legal market for training specially crafted so that it responds to all the challenges lawyers face in practicing their profession, aside the technical knowledge.
BECAUSE BEING A SUCCESSFUL LAWYER IS NOT JUST ABOUT:
- Having top academic qualifications;
- Exceptional technical skills;
- A superior intelligence;
- Talent and a real passion for law;
- Proven expertise in a specialist area;
- Ambition and hard work.
Lawyers must acquire:
- specific knowledge of IT (Information Technology) &
- AI (Artificial Intelligence) &
- EI (Emotional Intelligence)
- Public Speaking,
in order to succeed in tomorrow’ s market of legal services.
Bringing all the knowledge that is complementary to the technical requirements of any successful lawyer in a practical and applicable format is a NEED for the international business law market.
For this purpose, a team of remarkable professionals in LegalTech, branding, leadership, marketing, entrepreneurship and public speaking has been formed to help lawyers and law firms that need appropriate guidance.
